We don’t sell directly to customers. Instead we rely on being recommended by financial advisers. The reason is that we believe your best chance of achieving your goals is through expert impartial advice.

Once an adviser has assessed your needs we hope they will recommend us for the quality of the investment solutions and services we offer.

Q2How do I find a financial adviser?

You can find a financial adviser local to you by visiting one of a number of websites online. We recommend the following independent sites:

www.unbiased.co.uk: a portal for finding independent financial advisers

www.findanadviser.org: run by a professional body for financial advisers

Q3How can I view my investments online?

Skandia’s online client service (Client Extranet) enables you to view your Skandia investments all in one place. You can get up-to-date valuations and even switch funds online. For more information and to register to use the service visit our Client Extranet logon page

Q4What information will I need when phoning Skandia with a policy or online services query?

The security of your personal information is extremely important to us, so we will need to verify that it is actually you we are speaking to. It also helps us to answer your query much more efficiently if you have some details to hand.

We will generally require some personal information about you (eg your address), some information about your policy/plan and about your financial adviser, if you still have one.

If you have received a statement from us recently it might be a good idea to have that available when calling, if possible.

If you have registered for our Client Extranet you would have been asked some security questions at the time of registering. If you call the Customer Contact Centre with a query about our online services, we may need you to confirm the answers you input at that time.
