If you’re new to Skandia, welcome. To get started, you need to follow the steps set out below.

How to apply for Terms of Business

Only firms that are directly authorised and do not already have a relationship with us need to apply to get started.

The first thing you need to do is register for our Terms of Business which you can do through Origo's Agency Registration Service.

This service allows you to complete an application for Terms of Business which is then issued to us and a number of participating product providers with whom you wish to establish a relationship.

Once you have completed this it is time to decide who your master user is going to be. See our user roles guide for more information. Your authorised signatory must then complete our master user registration form and send it to us following the instructions on the form.

How to access our online services

After you’ve successfully registered, your master user will receive logon details giving them access to our adviser extranet. To log on to the platform, simply visit Skandia Investment Solutions.

From there, your master user can set up advisers and administrators in each of your locations. See our user roles guide for more information.

If you require access to SkandiaView, each individual user will need to register. Find out more about registering

Client extranet

Skandia customers can also carry out a number of portfolio monitoring and management activities through our Client Extranet. They can register by selecting 'Customer login' and following the instructions on the page.

Once registered for the Client Extranet, customers can:

See up-to-date valuations of every fund and the total value of their portfolio

Switch their fund choice, free of administration charge

Monitor fund prices and performance updates

Access policy documents and correspondence online* (see below)

View the details of their policy at a glance, such as the amount paid in and withdrawals taken**

Online document service

The online document service is currently only available for single or joint private investors with a Skandia Investment Solutions account. It is not available for trust or corporate accounts, or Skandia Life or Skandia Investment Management customers.

Customers will receive an e-mail to notify them that a new document has been uploaded. If all of the account holders of a joint policy are registered for the UK Client Extranet, they will all receive a notification e-mail. They can update their e-mail address online if necessary.

We are required to post some documents for regulatory reasons, however copies will also be made available online for customers. Ad-hoc non-automated customer letters will continue to be posted.

From October 2011, registered customers will be able to view their half-yearly statements and tax vouchers on the document library.
