Over the last three years, the Old Mutual Group has undertaken significant steps to simplify its structure and to refocus on its core business. This ‘one business’ approach is central to the Old Mutual Group strategy. The rebrand is being completed in order to:
- grow into a leading provider of wealth management solutions in the UK and Internationally
- simplify and improve our proposition
- enable us to provide investment solutions that customers truly value.
Renaming as Old Mutual Wealth will reflect the strength and heritage of the Old Mutual brand name. The sale of Skandia’s Nordic businesses to Skandia Liv by Old Mutual earlier this year presented an ideal opportunity to carry out this brand consolidation and avoid any future identity confusion at an international level.
Our business in the UK is an integral part of Old Mutual’s future strategy in Europe. The Group has committed significant investment in the UK, which allows us to enrich our proposition. Investment in our future will allow us to broaden the range of products and investment solutions we offer.
We will begin to implement the changes in 2013 and will complete the process during 2014. The change will happen in a gradual and cost-effective way to minimise any disruption to you.
